My colleagues are always friendly and in a good mood. Everybody is highly professional and at the same time the atmosphere is familiar and we can open up to each other.

I started my apprenticeship in another company. Since that didn’t work, I was lucky to get a new opportunity at IRON Pump. And here it is completely different. I get the time to learn what I need. I am taken care of as an apprentice and get the help and instructions that I need.

It has given me some close friendships among my colleagues. At IRON Pump there is a flexible attitude and there is room for you as a person. I have gained more responsibility over the years and I am able to influence my own working conditions.

In recent years the company has developed quickly which I find both exciting and challenging. The company also invests in new machinery which keeps me on my toes, and I continuously learn and develop. If I have an interest in learning a specific discipline, I am able to take a course.

"What I really like about IRON Pump is that the entire process is visible. Right from the customer's inquiry until the finished physical product is ready to be picked-up in our courtyard and shipped to a customer somewhere in the world.

Another thing is the opportunities which IRON Pump offers. I was a fitter in the workshop for eight years, and I was also travelling helping customers worldwide with technical problem solving. Since I had an interest in relationships and solutions, I applied for a sales position. The management was positive, and together we created a sales position which matched my skills and interests.

Also, I enjoy that our hierarchy is flat and that our decision-making process is short. If you have an idea, you will most likely be allowed to run with it. And moreover, we all know each other very well, and we know exactly whom to ask if we need help".

I was well received, my colleagues are friendly and, not least, very helpful. It made it easy for me to settle into my work. 

The work is well organized, so I don’t struggle with a lot of problems. On the rare occasion that a problem arises, we work together to solve it. At IRON Pump we care about each other, and we have a friendly relationship. This is supported by various activities within the company. I take the opportunity to cycle with other colleagues once or twice a month, allowing us to get to each other well and talk about things other than work.

Working within R&D, it is great that our production facilities that include our machine shop, our assembly shop and our test facilities are under the same roof. I know the people who are working with the pumps so they can easily be included in the development work.

We set a lot of goals when developing our pumps. We must consider energy consumption, usability, reliability, price and the suchlike. This leads to some interesting discussions, and I really enjoy being part of this decision process.

Due to the size of the company, I have many different types of tasks. Some are technically detailed whereas other tasks are more practical. It gives me a good variety in my everyday life.
