The ejector has a number of known advantages when used in cooperation with an UV-based Ballast Water Treatment System.
The motive water from the ejector will ensure that water is always present for cooling of the UV-lamps, even when water is no longer drawn from the ballast tanks. Thereby, the use of ejectors prevents the system from shutdown.
Using an ejector in cooperation with your UV-based Ballast Water Treatment System will give you the advantage of continuous cooling during stripping.
The risk of “low flow alarms” and, thereby disruption of your ballast operation, is minimized. Therefore, an ejector is often the preferred solution for stipping of ballast tanks.
