Since 1997, we have published annual Green Reports documenting our environmental performance and progress.

Today, our work is supported by ISO 14001 certification, participation in the UN Global Compact and a continued focus on UN Sustainable Development Goals 12 and 13. However, sustainability is not treated as a separate initiative. It is integrated into the way we develop products, support our customers and optimize the use of resources throughout a pump's lifetime.

Guided by UN Sustainable Development Goals 12 and 13, we prioritize responsible resource use, product longevity and energy efficiency.

For IRON Pump, sustainability is closely linked to the way pumps are designed, operated, and maintained. Extending service life, reducing energy consumption, and making responsible material choices are areas where engineering decisions can create long-term value for both customers and the environment.

A significant part of a pump's environmental impact occurs during the many years it remains in operation. For that reason, IRON Pump continuously works to optimize pump design, improve hydraulic performance and reduce energy consumption across the product lifecycle.

Through continuous engineering improvements and material innovation, we work to deliver solutions that combine high performance with long-term efficiency. These priorities are also reflected in our product development, where we evaluate materials, designs and manufacturing methods to improve durability and resource efficiency.

As part of this work, IRON Pump is gradually introducing duplex and super duplex stainless steel in selected applications. These materials offer improved corrosion resistance and longer service life than traditional materials, supporting our focus on durability and responsible resource use.

Sustainability is also supported through continuous design improvements, including recent updates to end caps, where a shift to self-adhesive solutions helps reduce material usage and simplify installation.

Creating more value from existing resources

Many IRON Pump installations remain in service for decades, supported by maintenance, spare parts, service and life extension initiatives. Rather than focusing solely on replacement, we help our customers maximize the lifetime and performance of existing equipment.

As the demand for energy-efficient solutions continues to grow, we see significant opportunities in modernizing existing installations. Many older buildings, including hospitals and other public buildings, still operate pump systems that consume more energy than necessary, even though substantial savings can often be achieved through optimization and improved control.

We continue to place an increasing focus on helping our customers optimize the operation of their pumps, improving both performance and long-term energy efficiency.

Through these efforts, we continue to support UN Sustainable Development Goals 12 and 13 while delivering reliable, long-lasting solutions for our customers.

» Our pumps are sustainable in themselves. They are built to last for many years and are not a 'use-and-dispose-of' product. We see pump installations still in operation after 15-20-30 years and we are always working to get better; optimizing pump design and efficiency, consuming less and recycling more in our production «
